Meet a 70-year-old woman who is more flexible and agile than lots of young girls nowadays, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China.
After retirement Dai Dali started practicing pole dancing and has
become so good in it she took part in Asia’s Got Talent and even won a
national pole dancing competition in her age category. Her training
sessions usually took place at home, where the old lady has a poll
installed in her own bedroom.
Commenting on her outre hobby Mrs Dali said: “My dream is to show
the world that there’s an old lady from China who does pole dancing. I
like the feeling of spinning in the air. It’s fantastic. Follow your
heart — it’s never too old to dance. I will continue until the day I
can’t move.”
Dai’s family and friends also support her choice of pastime and are proud of her. The woman says she wants to show that pole dancing is not just about seedy karaoke bars and scantily clad girls, it is about keeping fit, staying healthy and having fun.
