A middle aged man, Echeno Adakole, has been arrested by the Benue State police command for reportedly beheading his 50 years old stepmother, Titi Enokela, at their home in Obaganya community, in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
Unfortunately for him, the children of the deceased caught him red-handed with the severed head of their mother and quickly alerted the police.
It was gathered that Echeno has been in constant dispute with the deceased over his father’s property and nursed the idea to kill her. He ambushed the unsuspecting woman at a family farm settlement, hit her with a piece of wood and then cut off her head.
He has been arrested and taken to the state Police Headquarters in Makurdi, Benue state for further interrogation.
