Rivers state police command has arrested a married man simply identified
as Moses for allegedly bathing a 21 year old girl with acid after she
declined dating him.
The suspect reportedly attacked the victim Mary Nnorodim along side with
her 12 years old sister and 15 years old brother while they were asleep
early this month.
Mr. Moses who attacked the victims at their resident at Railway Avenue, Akpajo Eleme in Rivers State, was said to have been threatening the 21 years old girl through phone messages that he would deal with her since she would not let him have his way with her.

The victim, who exclusively spoke to Nepicity.com at an undisclosed
hospital in Port Harcourt, narrated her ordeal, noting that the suspect
had earlier threatened to render her useless and make life miserable for
her and her family.
Meanwhile, mother of the victim, Esther Nnorodim who recently lost her husband, also spoke to our correspondent.
Mary and her 12 years old sister, who were lying ill at the hospital,
had their face, chest and some other parts of body wrecked by the acid
bath.
A Port Harcourt based human rights group, Initiative for Advancement of Humanity, in a petition made available to Nepicity.com said they have petitioned Rivers State Police Commissioner, Tunde Ogunshakin to transfer the case from the Eleme Police station to the State Criminal Investigation Department, CID in other to ensure that a thorough investigation is done on the matter.
