Police salvage lady abducted in Delta

A housewife in Delta State was fortunate when police saved her from her abductors.
The police moved swiftly to rescue a kidnapped woman.

A 37-year-old housewife who was abducted from her family home in Asaba, Delta State, and burned through two days in the hijacker's lair while her family circled attempting to raise the payoff cash requested by the offenders, have been safeguarded by police analysts in the state.


As per the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Celestina Kalu, the hijackers had raged the home of the lady at the back of the NNPC Mega Filling station along the Asaba/Benin Expressway on April 24, 2015, at around 7 pm and stole the lady while they likewise stole her spouse's Lexus Jeep SUV. The lady was sped to an obscure destination while the ruffians put a call to her spouse and requested for a payoff of N10 million.

However fortunes ran out on the culprits as agents of the state Dragon Patrol Team, following up on a tip-off, followed the Lexus Jeep to Ezi Village in Aniocha North nearby government zone of the state where the vehicle was discovered deserted by the offenders.

The following day, a police watch group from Onicha-Olona, acting in cooperative energy with nearby vigilante, safeguarded the victimized person from criminal's sanctum situated in Obomkpa hedge while the ruffians got away.
