Nigerians who tested positive for COVID-19 deny treatment in Ghana



The two Nigerians who as of late tried positive for COVID-19 in Ghana have been conveyed of Ghana's principle national coronavirus treatment focus Ga East Municipal Hospital.

Ghana has now recorded 636 Coronavirus cases

As indicated by the Ghana Police, they have been sent away in light of the fact that the two are not helping out wellbeing specialists to be treated there.

The two people are right now being held in a disconnected police office.

"The two Nigerians who tested positive to COVID-19 and were moved from a Police holding office of the Accra District Police to the National Treatment Center have been come back to the Police office as an issue of need, to empower wellbeing authorities to oversee them. The two would not submit to treatment at the national treatment community, making their administration troublesome, in this manner their arrival," a public statement from the police said.


The police said the legislature of Ghana is working with the Nigerien Ambassador in Ghana to settle on the administration of the two cases.

It isn't yet known whether the administration will think about repatriation as a prompt arrangement.

The police said its officials won't be in contact with any of the two Nigerians since they are putting forth attempts to "shield Police Officers and our office."

"General society is reminded to keep on helping out the Police and Security Services to help control the spread of the COVID-19. Remain at home and remain safe, as we keep the bleeding edge," the police included.

On April 5, 2020, the two Nigerians were captured when a taxi they were in was halted by police authorizing the lockdown mandate.



When addressed by the police, the two couldn't give substantial explanations behind their development raising doubts and causing their capture.

Further examinations by police prompted a clinical test on them at the Ridge Hospital whose outcome returned positive on April 13, 2020.

Ghana has so far recorded an aggregate of 636 novel coronavirus cases starting around early afternoon on April 14, 2020, with eight passings and 17 recuperations.
